CDP recognises UPM with triple ‘A’ score for climate, forests and water security actions
UPM has been recognised with a triple ‘A’ score for its performance and transparent reporting on climate change, forests and water security by the global environmental non-profit CDP. Out of nearly 15,000 companies scored, UPM is one of only 12 companies that achieved the triple ‘A’“As a global forest industry company, all three angles of CDP are very important for us,” says Sami Lundgren, Vice President, Responsibility, UPM.

Dow Jones Sustainability Index lists UPM the leader of its industry
UPM has been listed in the Dow Jones European and World Sustainability Indices (DJSI) for 2022-2023 as the only company in its industry. UPM Paso de los Toros pulp mill in Uruguay starts receiving wood in preparation for start-up
The testing phase of the UPM Paso de los Toros pulp mill in central Uruguay continues to progress as all preparatory activities are underway for the scheduled start-up by the end of the first quarter of 2023. Starting next week, trucks will gradually begin to arrive at the new mill site carrying wood that will be stored on site to be used in equipment tests prior to the start of operations.
