New big investment in pulp mill

A new bio refinery is planned to be built in Finland. It will be the third of its kind and this time the location is Kemijärvi. According to the Finnish Forest Centre, the refinery will cost EUR 700–800 million and employ about 1,000 people. Heikki Nivala at the centre does not reveal yet who is behind the project. He mentions that an industrial operator is involved in it. The project in Kemijärvi is clearly smaller than the planned refineries in Äänekoski and Kuopio. It is shortly mentioned that the new refinery will be much bigger than Stora Enso’s pulp mill which was closed down in Kemijärvi in 2008. The mill produced annually 250,000 tonnes of pulp.

Nueva gran inversión en la planta de celulosa
Está prevista una nueva refinería de bio que se construirá en Finlandia. Será la tercera de su tipo, y esta vez la ubicación es Kemijärvi. Según el Centro Forestal de Finlandia, la refinería costará 700-800 million de euros y emplean a unas 1.000 personas. Heikki Nivala en el centro no revela todavía quién está detrás del proyecto. Menciona que un operador industrial está involucrado en ella. El proyecto en Kemijärvi es claramente menor que las refinerías planeadas en Äänekoski y Kuopio. Se menciona que en breve la nueva refinería será mucho más grande que la planta de celulosa de Stora Enso, que se cerró en Kemijärvi en 2008. La fábrica produce anualmente 250.000 toneladas de celulosa.
