UPM: Cancel plans regarding another biorefinery at Kaukas

 Summary:
UPM has cancelled its application regarding financial subsidy worth about EUR 79 million which was aimed to a biorefinery at the company’s mill Kaukas. The total investment would have been around EUR 198 million. Petri Kukkonen, Vice President, UPM Biofuels, says that the main reason for the cancellation is the EU’s decision to leave biofuel’s future open. According to him, UPM cannot make decisions before regulations are clear.
