On 12-17 October 2014, a delegation from Brazil and Chile, Sweden at the invitation of the Swedish Pulp and Paper Technology Group, PPT, in collaboration with Business Swedens office in São Paulo, Brazil. The purpose was to present the Swedish technology company to potential clients and key decision makers, and ultimately provide the Swedish companies to develop their business in the Brazilian and Chilean markets.
- The members of the Swedish Pulp and Paper Technology Group, PPT, representing the supplier industry to the world's forest products industry, over the years has regular meetings with the South American forest industry and especially with Brazil and Chile. These meetings means a lot to the development of a competitive forest industry in the region while enhancing and providing export opportunities for the Swedish supplier companies, says Ulf Frölander, Chairman of PPT.

The delegation from Brazil and Chile consisted of 17 representatives from 11 companies, including the largest South American producers of pulp and paper, such as Arauco, CMPC, Klabin and Veracel. The delegation was able to meet ABB / Lorentzen & Wettre, Alfa Laval, AkzoNobel Pulp & Performance Chemicals, Andritz, Bosch Rexroth / Hagglunds, Chemrec, Clean Combustion, Elof Hansson, Firefly, NAF, Outokumpu Stainless, Purac, Somas Instrument, UMV Coating Valmet and Yara Environment. In connection with the study of ÅF Industry, Sweco, BillerudKorsnäs and Innventia organized individual business meetings between visiting companies from Brazil and Chile and the Swedish supplier companies.

Industry in Brazil and Chile, seeking technological solutions for the efficient production associated with the expansion of the pulp industry based on fast-growing plantation forest, and increased focus on the manufacture of paper. It is famous around the world that many technical solutions for the pulp and paper industry developed in Sweden and many producers are therefore directed its gaze toward technology companies and research institutions in our country.
